Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 17, 2026

Dixon Technologies, LLC is a Texas limited liability company that builds software for car dealerships. This policy covers information collected through dixontech.net.

We collect information you submit through our forms, Calendly’s meeting widget and the Service Specials Plus widget. We use it to respond, arrange meetings, provide test calls, send offers and handle bookings. We do not sell personal information.

Who we are

Dixon Technologies, LLC builds Status Plus, VAL, Service Specials Plus, Service Menu Plus, Recon Plus and CIT Plus for car dealerships.

Our address is 14630 Boston Drive, Frisco, TX 75035. Our headquarters is in Dallas, TX, and our technical office is in Houston, TX.

This policy covers dixontech.net. Dealerships use our products under their own agreements with Dixon. See our Terms and Conditions.

Information you give us

The VAL test-call request form on /val asks for your name, email, phone number and company. It requires you to check a box agreeing that Dixon Technologies may contact you about VAL by email, phone or text.

Our team reviews each request by hand to stop abuse. We email a personal test-call link within a few hours, or one business day at the latest. We keep your contact details to follow up about VAL.

The Contact page embeds Calendly to book meetings. Calendly collects information under its own privacy policy, and we receive the booking details to hold the meeting.

  • Calendly collects what you enter, such as your name, email, answers to scheduling questions and meeting time.
  • If you email or call us, we use the information you provide to reply.

Test calls with VAL

Your personal link opens /try-val and works for 30 minutes after you first open it.

Your browser asks for microphone permission. The microphone is used only while a test call is running so you can talk to VAL.

VAL treats you as a demo customer, “John Doe,” at a demo dealership. You do not need to share your own vehicle details.

TODO(owner): Are public test calls recorded or transcribed, and if so, how long are they kept? Also confirm the full subprocessor list (including the speech and AI providers behind VAL calls) and which provider delivers form emails.

The Service Specials Plus widget and text messages

Service Specials Plus shows a dealership’s service offers on its website. The live demo on /service-specials-plus runs the real widget for a test dealership.

“Save Offer Now” asks for your name and mobile number and texts that one offer to your phone. The text includes the coupon code and a link back to the offer.

The form displays this consent text: “By submitting, I agree to receive 1 message(s) with this offer/page via SMS (may be in multiple parts) from Dixon Technologies. Message and data rates may apply.”

“Schedule Service” collects the details listed below to book a service appointment. The booking goes to the dealership’s service department through Status Plus.

  • Your phone number is used to look up a returning customer.
  • The booking form collects vehicle details, mileage and requested services.
  • The booking form also collects your drop-off method, advisor, and appointment date and time.

Texts sent through the website demo are real. A demo booking may create a real appointment in Dixon’s test store.

The widget records usage events, including widget views, calls started, offers sent by text and appointments booked. The dealership can see these events on its Service Specials Plus dashboard.

On a dealership’s website, the widget sends Google Tag Manager events using the automotive ASC event standard to that dealership’s container. The dealership’s privacy policy covers its website and analytics. dixontech.net has no Google Tag Manager container of its own.

Information collected automatically

Cloudflare hosts the site and processes standard request data, such as your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you request, to serve and protect it.

dixontech.net sets no advertising or analytics cookies of its own. Third-party embeds, including Calendly and Service Specials Plus, may set or read their own cookies. The Try VAL page saves when your test-call link was first opened in your browser’s local storage, so the 30-minute window survives a reload.

How we use information

We use information to provide the service you request and respond to you.

  • We review VAL test-call requests by hand to stop abuse.
  • We send personal test-call links, provide test calls and follow up about VAL.
  • We use Calendly booking details to arrange and hold meetings.
  • We use information from emails and calls to answer your questions.
  • We send the service offer you request by text.
  • We send service appointment details to the dealership through Status Plus.
  • We record widget usage so dealerships can see activity on their dashboards.
  • We use standard request data to serve and protect the website.

How we share information

We share information with service providers only to provide the service. They include providers of hosting and security (such as Cloudflare), scheduling (Calendly), telephony and messaging (such as Twilio), and the speech and AI providers that run VAL calls.

We share information with the dealership whose offer or booking you use through the Service Specials Plus widget.

We may share information when the law requires it, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger or sale of the business.

Dixon does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Mobile numbers and text-message consent are never shared with third parties for their own marketing.

Information we process for dealerships

When a dealership uses our products, we process its customer and vehicle data on its behalf under its agreement with Dixon. This includes repair orders, appointments, text messages and calls.

Status Plus, VAL and CIT Plus texts and calls to a dealership’s customers are sent for that dealership.

Contact the dealership with questions about information we process for it. We help the dealership answer those questions.

How long we keep information

We keep information only as long as needed for the purpose we collected it for, such as replying to you, providing a test call, following up or providing the dealership’s service. We then delete it unless the law requires us to keep it longer.

  • You can ask to see your personal information.
  • You can ask us to correct your personal information.
